Due to continued demand across the Northern Ireland Health Service, Randstad are keen to recruit a Patient Transporter / Porter to work within a busy Hospital environment. The successful candidate will join an established team and work full time Monday-Sunday, 37.5 hours per week including evenings and weekends as per rota requirements. Premium rates apply for unsocial, night & weekends. Benefits: Band 2 £11.45 per hour, enhanced weekend pay scales & overtime rates available. 37.5 hours per week Mon-Sun Enhanced holiday package Pension Belfast location Requirements: 6 months previous experience in a similar patient transport or porter role role highly desirable Previous experience within a Health and Social Care Trust would be advantageous Enhanced Access NI is essential (can be applied for before commencement) Manual Handling training MMR vaccination records Effective communication Must be a team player Ability to work under pressure Must be flexible to some evening and or weekend shifts Patient focused, ability to engage and build rapport Responsibilities: Undertaking general Porter duties in fast paced wards and hospital directorates Patient transport from the A&E department Assisting a team of nurses, allied health professionals & clinicians with patient transport and patient chaperone Movement of equipment including beds and wheelchairs Escorting staff and visitors as required Managing appointments, basic administration Interacting with patients, building engagement and rapport Offering assistance to management teams Moving and handling Randstad Business Support acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
