Portfolio Analyst

Multi Billion Hedge Fund is currently hiring in its Front Office for a Analyst on its Credit Desk.The fund is a high performing operator with a diversified range of products and strategies.The front office comprises over 30 Investment professionals from a broad range of European nationalities and languages with an extensive track record in special situations and complex credit. The role will work alongside traders and analysts as well as close collaboration with middle office, fund accounting and risk.Key Responsibilities Daily Portfolio SupportWork closely with traders, monitoring blotters and ensuring the accurate booking of trades Monitoring positions and calculating P&LExplaining P&L to PM’s and commentating on market swings Act as a point of contact for Middle Office (MO), Fund Accounting (FA) and Risk Management (RM) Ensure new trading counterparties are approved and coordinate KYC requests Investment Pipeline Management Management of investment deal pipeline Active monitoring of “Watch List” names Attend Investment Committee meetings and maintain records of relevant documentation Liquidity Management and FX Maintain and monitor cash balances across funds Management of subscription line financing including managing cash drawdowns and repayments Monitor investment portfolio FX hedging requirements Facilitate downstream funding and supply and review all the requisite documentation Performance Reporting and Valuation Reconcile and approve P&Ls. Liaise with MO, FA and RM as appropriate Verify security marks in accordance with the valuation policy Ensure accuracy of investor reporting including monthly newsletters, quarterly portfolio reviews and other bespoke investor reporting Prepare ad hoc portfolio analysis and reporting for Portfolio Managers as required Transaction Closing / Board Meetings / Administrator Act as a point of contact for the Investment Board, Administrator and Custodian / Depository bank(s) Facilitate signing and execution of legal documents Arrange and attend board meetings as required Experience Required2:1 grade or equivalent 1-3 years Trade Support or Fund Accounting experience Fixed Income or cross product coverage Highly analytical with excellent communication Strong work ethic and positive approach
