About You
We are looking for someone who wants to make a real difference to the people we support. We invite applications from people who have experience of delivering a responsive and positive service, who have experience of supporting individuals with behaviours of concern and leading others to do the same.
You will have a varied and rewarding role, including but not limited to, providing support, supporting the delivery of staff training and staff debriefs, functional assessment and analysis of behaviour, developing, implementing and evaluating PBS plans, and working with the people we support to increase their skills and independence. You will also support staff to develop their skills, confidence and resilience and line manage the PBS team.
This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will be home based but with the ability to travel to services as required across Shropshire, Telford and the West Midlands.

About the PBS team
We have a small PBS team that works alongside the operational team to deliver the best approaches and outcomes for the people we support, particularly those with the greatest level of Behavioural need. Adopting a person-centred, evidence led approach, reflective of the PBS Competency framework and in-line with current standards of good practice, PBS at Bethphage emphasise joint-working with the people we support, looking to improve their quality of life and reduce the amount of restrictions they face. We do this through a process of functional assessment, data analysis and report writing, direct support, service visits, observation, skill-teaching and collaborative working.
As a Positive Behaviour Organisation, PBS at Bethphage also have a key role in supporting our colleagues, offering staff training, debriefs and post incident analysis, in addition to mental health first aid, to staff across the organisation.
Job requirements
Essential
A relevant PBS qualification
Experience of working in the PBS field working with people who are identified as presenting behaviours which pose risks or limitations to their quality of life
Experience of completing assessments and developing Positive Behaviour Support Plans
Strong leadership skills
Full UK driving licence and own car with business insurance
Desirable
Previous experience in a PBS role
