GSL Education invites applications for the position SEMH Tutor for post-16 education in Newcastle.

Job Summary:As a Post-16 Tutor (SEMH), you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding our students through their academic journey and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess the learning needs of students and develop appropriate strategies to meet these needs.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons.
• Support students in managing their behavior and developing coping strategies.
• Foster positive relationships with students to build trust and rapport.
• Work collaboratively with the wider school team to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
• Maintain accurate records and report on student progress to senior staff and parents.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience working with Post-16 students, particularly those with SEMH needs.
• Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students.
• Patience, empathy, and resilience.
