Select Recruitment is excited to be recruiting on behalf of a prestigious client near Attleborough. We are seeking a dedicated Poultry Welfare Officer to join a rapidly growing, innovative agricultural team.

Role Overview
As a Poultry Welfare Officer, you will ensure the highest standards of poultry welfare and compliance are met, supporting a team dedicated to maintaining exceptional levels of animal care and environmental sustainability. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in poultry and farm management to advance their career with a leading producer in East Anglia.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Auditing:

Ensure adherence to animal welfare and environmental regulations, along with customer codes of practice.
Highlight and address any non-compliance issues, formulating clear action plans.
Prepare for and accompany external auditors, manage non-conformance responses, and investigate incidents as required.
Promote hygiene and bio-security precautions, upholding company policies.

Production Support:

Play a key role in disease prevention, recognition, and treatment.
Attend chick and turkey deliveries, vaccinate stock, and conduct necessary sampling.
Liaise with vets to prepare health plans and monitor production KPIs.

Team Collaboration:

Develop and recommend training materials and needs for the farm team.
Work closely with departments including factory technical, production, and sales.

Qualifications & Skills

Relevant agricultural or poultry qualification, or significant industry experience.
Excellent communication and people management skills.
Strong analytical abilities to record and interpret data accurately.
Persuasive, influential, and a team player with a comprehensive understanding of poultry production and welfare issues.
What's on Offer

Salary: £29,500 per year.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (flexibility required).
