Our client, a prominent player in the power distribution sector, is seeking an experienced Power System Studies Engineer to support a diverse range of projects. This contract role, based in Leatherhead, offers the opportunity to partake in strategic grid connection projects up to 220kV.
Key Responsibilities:
Execution of power system studies including load flow, short circuit, and dynamic motor starting analyses.
Performing transient stability and protection coordination studies.
Overseeing third-party vendors to ensure quality and integration of power system studies into main projects.
Utilisation of ETAP software for all power system study tasks.
Maintaining high standards of data accuracy and analysis in all project phases.
Collaborating closely with project teams and external partners to meet engineering standards and project timelines.
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in power engineering with a strong focus on power system analysis and grid connection projects.
Proficient with ETAP software for conducting various power system studies.
Understanding of high-voltage grid systems (up to 220kV).
Ability to manage and coordinate with external vendors and consultants.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
Work Arrangement:
This contract position is initially for a 12-month period with the possibility of hybrid working arrangements.
The role involves spending part of the week at our client's offices in Leatherhead, with remote working options available for up to two days a week.
