Dunbar Education are working exclusively with a Primary School in Bedford that are looking for support in the final term for various year groups.

The position is a PPA Teacher and we are looking for candidates that have QTS, flexibiltity for short-term & long-term and good knowledge across the subjects to work with all year groups.

As a PPA Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and prepare lessons or follow pre-arranged lesson plans provided by the class teacher.
  • Communicate effectively with class teachers to ensure continuity and smooth progression.
  • Teach the pupils assigned to you, set and mark their work to be completed in school or at home.
  • Promote the overall progress and wellbeing of individual or groups of pupils in your care.
  • Offer guidance and advice to pupils on educational and social matters.
  • Maintain and update display work in designated areas of the school.
  • Show flexibility in working across different key stages with various classes and students.

As a PPA Teacher, you need:

  • Knowledge of teaching methodologies and the ability to design curriculum.
  • Sensitivity and understanding of diverse student needs.
  • The capability to create optimal learning environments and teach new concepts effectively.
  • The ability to collaborate well with others.
  • Flexibility and openness to change.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
  • Patience and the ability to stay calm in stressful situations.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Competence in using computers and essential software packages.
