As an AWS Premier Tier services partner with over 700 in-house engineers, we are looking to continue growing in EMEA by adding a lead UK Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to help our AWS customers continue to innovate with confidence.We are looking for an exceptional Pre-Sales SA who loves building solutions on AWS services with a broad array of real-world expertise, but focus areas like DevOps, Infrastructure Management, Data Services, and migration planning are key to success in this role. As an AWS Pre-Sales Solutions Architect at Commit, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions for our clients' cloud-based infrastructure using AWS services. You are expected to recognize the technical challenges faced by businesses and design and explain well-architected solutions using terminologies that executives can understand and value. You will work closely with prospects, clients, internal teams, and AWS resources to architect and deliver solutions that meet the clients' business objectives and requirements.Responsibilities:Client Engagement: Engage with prospects and clients in pre-sales and post-sales activities, including requirements gathering, solution presentations, and technical discussions. Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their business challenges, and providing appropriate solutions to meet their needs.Solution Design: Collaborate with prospects and clients to understand their business needs, technical requirements, and existing infrastructure. Based on these, design and architect AWS-based solutions that align with industry best practices, security standards, scalability, and cost optimization.Technical Expertise: Demonstrate expertise in AWS services, architectures, and solutions. Keep up-to-date with the latest AWS technologies, trends, and best practices. Provide technical guidance and recommendations to clients and internal teams on leveraging AWS services effectively.Solution Delivery: Technically lead or support engagements for the implementation of AWS solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams as needed. Ensure successful deployment of solutions, troubleshoot issues, and provide guidance on ongoing management and optimization.Security and Compliance: Design and implement solutions that adhere to industry-standard security practices and compliance requirements. Assess and mitigate potential security risks, recommending and implementing appropriate security measures to protect clients' data and systems.Documentation and Proposals: Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution architecture diagrams, infra-design and language at the proposal/SoW level. It’s critical to understand AWS expected deliverables and help create technical outputs that support this framework. To clarify: much of this job will be working with Sales to drive sales cycles, write SOWs, and prepare the documentation required for AWS. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).5+ years of experience with complex customer production environmentsAt least 5 years working with AWS Cloud servicesAt least 2 years working alongside salespeople to support sales cycles as a Solutions Architect (Pre-Sales SA experience)Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with clients, technical teams, and stakeholders.Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide practical solutions.Extensive experience in designing and implementing AWS solutions, including a strong understanding of AWS services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, VPN, Network Segmentation, Security Groups, ELB, and ASGExpert level experience with AWS Account Strategies, Directory Services, Access Controls, IAM, as well as security and compliance methodologiesAWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional level certification is strongly preferredDemonstrated experience in solution design, architecture, and deployment of scalable and secure cloud-based solutions.Strong knowledge of networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud infrastructure architecture.Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously, as well as constant context shifts throughout the working day.Experience leading the implementation of AWS Assessments and POCs that you designedExperience in working with a global team across different time zones. As such, you must be moderately flexible in your working schedule (to a slight extent)
