Pre-Construction Planning LeadUp to £100k + Bonus + 10% Pension Contribution + HealthcareUK or EuropeFantastic Opportunity for a Planning Lead with Preconstruction experience to take responsibility for overall Pre-Construction Planning strategy, alongside the Planning Manager, and establish suitable target programmes during the market opportunity & due diligence phase, assessing pre-construction baselines and management of the ongoing progress updates until handing over to the Regional Planning Lead for delivery. You will be accountable for governing best practice construction scheduling standards and management across all projects in the EMEA region. Key Responsibilities:In collaboration with Construction, Design & Solutions teams, visit potential news sites & markets to assess regional / project specific constraints, and develop benchmarks and sequencing to produce a high-level programme for the initial business case developmentChair all pre-construction assumptions workshops to ensure sufficient data is captured to inform baseline schedules. This will be from the outset of an opportunity (in liaison with Construction team)In conjunction with the Planning Manager, execute procurement of scheduling consultants for the pre-construction phase and following appointment, provide onboarding and mentoring of new and existing consultant partners of varying degrees of maturity to further develop our supply chain scheduling competencyAnalyse submitted pre-construction baselines from consultants against EMEA quality, mechanics and content criteria. Where inconsistencies with the required standards are identified, working with the contractor(s) to rectify and provide acceptance of the baselineEnsure the consultants adhere to the reporting cadence and undertake reviews of schedule submissions with the project scheduler to assess pre-construction progress and early warnings.Support the pre-construction project team with assessing long lead equipment and material procurement lead times and proposed construction sequencing to maximise efficiency in deliverySummarise lessons learned throughout the pre-construction phase and in collaboration with the regional construction schedulers, collate and revise benchmark data to inform new projectsQualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.Hyperscale Data Centre project and program management experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in pre-construction planning or a similar role within the construction or data center industry.Proven track record of successfully managing pre-construction activities for large-scale projects.Strong understanding of construction processes, design management, and procurement strategies.Demonstrated experience in applying Critical Path Methodology techniques on hyperscale Data Centre construction projectsExperience in assessing Data Centre commissioning planning templates and trackersDemonstrated experience in the use of Construction Industry standard planning software, such as: Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and ASTA PowerprojectDemonstrated experience in the use of Earned Value Management Techniques and Systems
