About the Role



We are seeking a dedicated Premises Officer to join our Academy in Crawley. You will be responsible for ensuring the Academy is well-maintained, safe, and secure while delivering a high level of customer-focused service. The role involves undertaking maintenance, janitorial, and caretaking duties, as well as supervising external contractors when required.



Key Responsibilities





  • Maintain a clean, safe, and secure Academy environment.




  • Provide and maintain a high level of customer-focused service.




  • Carry out caretaking duties, including general maintenance, painting & decorating, janitorial tasks, and portage.




  • Conduct minor repairs and ensure the upkeep of facilities.




  • Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.




  • Supervise and liaise with external contractors to ensure work is completed to a high standard.




  • Respond to any premises-related issues efficiently.




  • Assist with setting up rooms and equipment for school activities when required.





Essential Requirements





  • Practical skills in maintenance, cleaning, and general repairs (e.g., DIY, painting & decorating, general upkeep).




  • Experience in maintaining health and safety standards in a workplace.




  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.




  • Full clean driving licence with access to own transport.




  • Enhanced DBS due to the nature of the role




  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.




  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Contract: Permanent / Full-time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
