About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Premises Officer to join our Academy in Crawley. You will be responsible for ensuring the Academy is well-maintained, safe, and secure while delivering a high level of customer-focused service. The role involves undertaking maintenance, janitorial, and caretaking duties, as well as supervising external contractors when required.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a clean, safe, and secure Academy environment.
Provide and maintain a high level of customer-focused service.
Carry out caretaking duties, including general maintenance, painting & decorating, janitorial tasks, and portage.
Conduct minor repairs and ensure the upkeep of facilities.
Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Supervise and liaise with external contractors to ensure work is completed to a high standard.
Respond to any premises-related issues efficiently.
Assist with setting up rooms and equipment for school activities when required.
Essential Requirements
Practical skills in maintenance, cleaning, and general repairs (e.g., DIY, painting & decorating, general upkeep).
Experience in maintaining health and safety standards in a workplace.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Full clean driving licence with access to own transport.
Enhanced DBS due to the nature of the role
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM)
