Press Brake Operator

Salary: Depending on experience

\n

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm with an early finish on Fridays

\n

Our client serves some of the UK's most recognisable brands - they are an expert designer, manufacturer, and installer of signs. They're now looking for a Press Brake Operator to join their cutting-edge team.

\n

As a Press Brake Operator, your responsibilities will include:

\n

\n
• Operating a press brake to manufacture rainscreen and gutter components from sheet metal
\n
• Preparing, setting up, and adjusting press brake as required by product plans and production schedules
\n
• Measuring and aligning materials to be used
\n
• Inspecting products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications
\n
• Performing routine maintenance on the press brake
\n
• Maintaining a clean working area
\n
• Performing any other related duties as assigned
\n

\n

The ideal Press Brake Operator will have:

\n

\n
• The ability to safely and effectively operate or learn to operate the press brake controls
\n
• The ability to follow instructions
\n
• The ability to read, interpret, and follow production drawings and product plans
\n
• Basic maths and computer skills
\n
• Previous experience of LVD press brakes preferred but not essential
\n
• At least one year of experience in metal fabricator or related work environment preferred
\n
• The physical ability to operate the press brake
\n
• The ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying materials
\n
• The ability to lift 25kg at a time
\n
