Primary Intervention Specialist



Education Personnel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Intervention Specialist Tutor/Teacher to join our team!

About the Role:



We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to provide targeted intervention support to KS1 and KS2 pupils in Maths, English, Reading, and Literacy�You will work closely with school staff to identify children requiring additional support, plan and deliver engaging intervention sessions, and track progress to ensure positive outcomes.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Deliver high-quality, targeted intervention sessions to small groups and individual pupils.

  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and SENCOs to identify learning gaps and develop effective intervention strategies.

  • Create and implement engaging and differentiated learning activities to meet the individual needs of pupils.

  • Monitor and track pupil progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.

  • Utilise assessment data to inform planning and ensure effective intervention.

  • Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages pupil confidence and engagement.

  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attendance.

  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of intervention programs.



Essential Requirements:




  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Proven experience working with primary school children.

  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.

  • Excellent understanding of effective intervention strategies.

  • Ability to differentiate learning to meet individual needs.

  • Strong behaviour management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Enhanced DBS check.

  • A passion for making a positive impact on children's lives.



Desirable Skills/Experience:




  • Experience working with pupils with SEN.

  • Experience in delivering specific intervention programs (e.g., phonics, maths mastery).

  • Experience in using assessment data to track progress.
