Position: Primary Main Class Teaching Assistant (TA)

Location: Canterbury

Role and Responsibilities: As a Primary Main Class TA, you will:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support individual students and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Prepare and organise teaching materials and resources.
  • Supervise students during activities and break times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Foster a love of learning and encourage positive social interactions among students.
  • Participate in school events and activities, contributing to the vibrant school community.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with students with beneficial but not essential
  • Empathy: Demonstrate a compassionate and patient attitude, understanding the unique needs of students with SEN
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other support professionals.
  • Commitment: Genuine commitment to making a positive impact on the educational journey of students
