Primary School Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Stockport. This full-time role is perfect for someone who is eager to work 1:1 with a child in Early Years who has complex needs.

Role Details:

• Position: Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)
• Location: Primary School, Stockport
• Start Date: September 2024
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
• Contract Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalised support to a child with complex needs in Early Years.
• Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning activities accordingly.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to ensure the child's development and well-being.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is preferred.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's development.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in education or childcare are advantageous.
