Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant seeking a new role local to home and available full time for September 2024?

A welcoming and well-resourced Primary School located in Redbridge, London are seeking an passionate SEN TA to join them in September 2024 to work with a child in Reception who has non verbal Autism (ASD).

This is a full time role to start in September 2024 and would be until the end of the academic year (July 2025) with the view of being extended to the next academic year for the right candidate.

This lovely primary school located in Redbridge, London is within walking distance of the local tube station and Elizabeth Line. There are also local bus routes that stop very local to the school. Parking is also available.

They are seeking a passionate and ideally an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who has experience working with either ASD as well as working with non verbal ASD. The ideal candidate would need to have experience with language techniques such as PECS, Makaton or The Bucket Programme.

The child is in KS1 and has Non Verbal ASD. The child is very polite but gets distracted easily. They are looking for someone who is calm and confident and someone who wants to make a real impact to a child's life. There is no personal care to this role.

You will need to be approachable and patient and be able to build a strong rapport with the students.
The Head Teacher is keen to find someone who is eager to make a difference, listen to the children, and help them to develop their social skills. You will be provided with support throughout from SLT, and additional training will also be given.
