Are you an experienced Primary Teacher with a passion for teaching young children?

Are you ready to make a difference in a mixed Year 1/2 class and help foster their development?

Would you like the opportunity for flexible working arrangements, including the option to job share?

We are looking for a Primary Teacher to join a vibrant school in South Sheffield, near Chesterfield. The role is to start ASAP and is available on both a full-time or part-time basis, offering the flexibility of a potential job share. School hours are from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, with a competitive pay rate ranging from £150-£223.62 per day.

Located in a welcoming community, this infant school is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for young learners. It focuses on fostering curiosity, creativity, and personal growth while ensuring a supportive atmosphere for both students and staff. The school emphasises strong connections with families to support each child's development.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Teach and inspire a mixed Year 1/2 class, delivering engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students.
  • Create and implement tailored learning activities to promote key skills in literacy, numeracy, and other areas of the curriculum.
  • Monitor, assess, and track student progress, providing timely feedback to support their development.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment, encouraging independence, confidence, and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure the best possible learning experiences for all students.
  • Communicate with parents and carers about student progress and provide regular updates on their development.

Requirements:


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally within Year 1/2.
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and best practices for teaching young children.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
