We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a dedicated team. This position is paid to scale and requires experience with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and severe challenging behaviour.

Location: Chichester
Contract: 1 Year
Grade: To Scale

Role Overview: As a Primary Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the learning experiences of the pupils. Your expertise in managing and supporting children with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour will be invaluable in creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach and motivate pupils, fostering a nurturing and encouraging learning atmosphere.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences tailored to meet the needs of pupils with SEMH and challenging behaviour.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other staff members to provide comprehensive support to pupils.
  • Maintain high expectations for all pupils, ensuring that each child is given the opportunity to succeed.

About You:

  • Be an excellent practitioner with high expectations for all pupils.
  • Have a passion for child-centred learning.
  • Possess strong organisational and communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • Preferably have experience working with young people with SEMH and challenging behaviour.
  • Be committed to inclusion and equal opportunities for all pupils.

Criteria for the Role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience in teaching and supporting pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
  • A good standard of education across a range of subjects.
  • Knowledge of the national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes.
  • Understanding of relevant policies, codes of practice, and legislation.
