Primary Teacher

A small, one-form entry primary school in Chorley is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 teacher to cover a maternity leave position, working 4 days a week from the end of February. About the Role:

• You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and effective lessons for a Year 5 class.
• You will work closely with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high standard of teaching and learning across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• You will be committed to the well-being and development of all pupils, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• You will have a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual needs.
• You will possess excellent classroom management skills, ensuring a calm and focused learning environment.

Essential Criteria:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience of teaching Year 5 or equivalent
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons

Details:

• 4-day working week
• Start date: End of February 2024
• Potential for extension until the end of the academic year for the right candidate
