Randstad Education is proud to be working with a mainstream primary school based at Torquay, who are looking to appoint a primary teacher. Every member of the school team believes passionately that every child deserves excellence each and every day. Through prioritising relationships and getting to really know our children, they are able to understand them as unique individuals, ensuring the curriculum and teaching are well-matched to their needs.

The school is looking to take on a driven primary teacher on a long-term basis.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the UK curriculum.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies that encompass active learning.
  • Effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with learners, staff, and parents.
  • Adapt to the changing needs of a diverse student population.

Requirements:


  • Must have QTS.
  • Proven experience as a primary teacher in a UK educational setting.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills.
  • A positive outlook and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Must provide 2 professional references.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to apply a new one.
