Primary Teacher - SEN-Focused Role in Brixton, SE London

A rewarding opportunity has opened for a Primary Teacher to join a supportive SEN Unit within a primary school in Brixton, SE London. This full-time role is based in a Year 3/4 SEN class, working with pupils with Autism (ASD). Starting immediately after Christmas, the school is seeking a passionate and experienced Primary Teacher who can provide creative, tailored learning and lead a team of dedicated support staff.

Primary Teacher - Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and adaptive lessons to meet the needs of children with Autism in a Year 3/4 class.
• Work closely with a team of 4 Teaching Assistants, providing clear direction and guidance to ensure the best learning outcomes.
• Plan, assess, and monitor pupil progress, identifying opportunities to support and challenge learners effectively.
• Collaborate with the SENCo and school leadership to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

What We're Looking for in a Primary Teacher:

• A qualified Primary Teacher (QTS required) with experience supporting children with Autism or SEN needs.
• Someone who can adapt their teaching style to support pupils with high levels of individual need.
• A calm, confident, and patient individual who can effectively manage small groups and work 1:1 when required.
• Strong leadership skills to support Teaching Assistants and maintain a well-structured classroom.
