Primary Teaching Assistant

Tradewind are looking for KS1 Specialists!

The school is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to aid pupils in KS1 who require general classroom support. To be considered for this position you must have a proven track record of working with children in KS1, including sound knowledge of the KS1 curriculum; have strong interpersonal skills; be able to engage pupils and differentiate work according to academic levels and a clear understanding of phonics.

The role is long-term and could transfer onto a school contract after a temporary period working on a supply basis.

Your day-to-day can include:

• Supporting pupils with developmental difficulties in reading, writing
• Working in partnership with the class teacher
• Taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care
• Helping to provide a stimulating learning environment for students

Our market leading rates or pay range between £85 - £88 per day depending on the role and your level of experience.

• Have KS1 school-based experience
• Ideally have a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

• Have the legal right to work in the UK
