Principal Designer

Waites Recruitment Consultancy are seeking a�Principal Designer to oversee compliance with Building Regulations (PDBR) and Construction Design Management (CDM), to join our multi-disciplinary consultancy team, based in our Kent office. It is a hybrid role between working in the office and from home.

This is a Full Time position and my client is looking to interview immediately and hire immediately. Fantastic opportunity to work for a brilliant company.

The role will include:

• Giving expert advice on Building Regulation compliance.


• Team leader for the PDBR department.


• Work closely with the client to fulfil their legal duties.


• Lead design stages of projects.


• Ensure projects meet health and safety standards.


• Keep up to date with UK Building Regulations and Legislation. �


• Design review and comments.

Requirements:

• Proven knowledge of Building Regulations, construction design, and safety compliance.


• Good understanding of the PDBR role and PDCDM role.


• Good understanding of UK Building Laws.


• Building Regulations Registration desirable; APS, etc


• NEBOSH or IOSH accreditation.


• Good communication skills.


• Good management skills.


• Good organisational skills.
