Major Recruitment is currently seeking Principal EC&I Engineers to join our prestigious client on numerous long-term projects, expected to last over 14 years. Our client, a leading well-known supplier to the UK's nuclear industry and a global presence, is offering exceptional opportunities across the entire nuclear life cycle.
As a contract Principal EC&I Engineer, you'll be taking on a unique and impactful position. This hybrid role is based within our client's office, where they handle everything from decommissioning redundant nuclear facilities and supporting the Continuous at Sea Deterrent to aiding the operation and construction of nuclear power plants. Our client's work is centred around cleaning up the nuclear legacy and creating a future where nuclear energy contributes significantly to national security, energy supply, and meeting net-zero goals.
Hybrid: Maximum of 3 days working in the office and 2 days working from home. (flexible dependent on the project)
Location: Warrington, Preston or Cumbria based office. (dependent on your preference)

Duties of Principal EC&I Engineer:
Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for overseeing the delivery of engineering and technical activities, utilising your process expertise, domain knowledge, and project experience.
- Assist in managing customer relationships by interfacing with clients and the supply chain on design issues and supporting procurement specifications.
- Ensure correct identification and application of procedures, codes, and standards for all engineering and technical tasks.
- Provide thorough review, verification, and approval of deliverables under your supervision.
- Conduct technical investigations and analysis to support problem resolution and design improvements.
- Produce, review, and verify deliverables, including calculations, technical reports, analyses, specifications, and method statements.
- Serve as the Technical Authority or Engineering Lead when authorized.
Essential Experience of the Principal EC&I Engineer
