Principal EC&I Engineer

Job Title: Principal EC&I Engineer Location: Preston, Cumbria or Warrington + Hybrid Working Arrangement Compensation: Competitive Salary & BenefitsAs a Principal EC&I Engineer based in Warrington, Preston or Cumbria you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary, from decommissioning redundant nuclear facilities, through supporting the Continuous at Sea Deterrent, to supporting the operation and build of nuclear power plants.Day to day, you'll be responsible for managing the delivery of engineering and technical activities, through the application of process, domain knowledge and experience across our projects.
Assist in effective management of the customer, through interfacing with customers and supply chain on design issues and assist with procurement specificationsEnsure procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities.Ensure that adequate review, verification and approval is undertaken on all their deliverables and for those under their direct control and supervisionCarry out technical investigations and analysis to provide data for problem assessment/resolution and for design of improvementsProduce, review, verify outputs including: calculations, analyses, technical reports, technical specifications and method statementsAct as Technical Authority or Engineering Lead when authorised to do so. This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.Essential experience of the Principal EC&I Engineer Experience in working collaboratively in multi-discipline teams to deliver activities on a range of project typesDemonstrable experience in covering a variety of tasks Communications skills and the ability to interface with other disciplines Essential qualifications for the Principal EC&I Engineer Engineering degree (or equivalent qualification) in relevant engineering discipline, with demonstrable experience Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
