Are you a seasoned Electrical Design Engineer ready to take on a leadership role? My client is a leading consultancy renowned for its innovative approach to engineering solutions, they're seeking a Principal Electrical Design Engineer to spearhead their large-scale residential/Commercial and Education projects. As the Project Lead, you will drive the Electrical design process and ensure the successful delivery of cutting-edge engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the electrical design process for major residential building projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and client requirements.
- Serve as the Project Lead, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated, sustainable, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Conduct detailed electrical calculations, simulations, and analysis to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Prepare and review comprehensive design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports, to communicate project requirements effectively.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams, fostering professional development and ensuring high-quality project outcomes.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders, presenting design concepts, progress updates, and final solutions in a clear and compelling manner.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Extensive experience in electrical design engineering within the building services sector, with a proven track record in residential projects.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and ETAP.
- Deep understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations governing building construction.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage engineering teams.
- Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable.
