Insight Global are looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will support and deliver designs for various Data Centres, Mission Critical and healthcare project types and sizes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and support staff delivering a consistent high-quality service for clients, ensuring that repeat and new business opportunities are developed, and profitability is achieved. The role is instrumental in helping to continue to grow and develop a team of technically competent engineers within this high-performing sector, as well as seeking new opportunities to develop the business. You will be working on a varied portfolio of projects both in the UK and Internationally. Leading the development of initial strategic concepts for projects ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards. All whilst taking responsibility for solid technical delivery in your work either alone or as part of a team and contribute to the overall business performance.
Must Haves:
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or Building Services Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Prior experience as Electrical Engineer or Electrical Design Engineer or M&E Engineer working on projects and following the design lifecycle
• Comfortable designing electrical engineering systems and leading the electrical service design on projects
• Proficient in computer modelling design software such as: AutoCAD, Revit, BIM or equivalent
• Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team and coming together to achieve the same outcome and project objectives
• Background in working throughout the stages of the project lifecycle from conception to launch
• Committed to engaging with junior support staff in their day-to-day activities and offer advice plus guidance to ensure that they develop their skills
Pluses:
• Experience working on prior data centre or mission critical projects
• A chartered engineer a part of an institution
