Principal Electronics Engineer - £60k - £75k + Bonus - South BedfordshireA superb career opportunity has arisen for a Principal Electronics Engineer to join a South Bedfordshire SME Electronics manufacture who develop world leading Safety / detection / environmental measurement instrumentation. They have an array of successful products in the market and an exciting backlog of brand-new market disruptive technology waiting to be taken from concept to delivery.This is an integral role within the company and will suit a Senior / Principal Electronics Engineer who enjoys being hands on with electronic and firmware design but also is looking for a role which offers a speedy path into Engineering Management and potentially Technical Directorship. Requirements – Principal Electronics Engineer Recent and relevant experience workings as a Lead Electronics Design Engineer (Hardware and firmware)Strong Project management and project documentation skills.Good Electronic design skills – Microcontroller integration (STM32, Microchip PIC, NORDIC), peripheral use/integration, analogue circuitry (including switched mode power supplies), appreciation of PCB layout (to brief/direct CAD bureau).Skilled in Embedded Software development in C, ideally C# and Visual Basic as wellRecent and relevant experience in Supervision, management, mentoring, support and evaluation of engineering staff.Appreciation of radio communication beneficial (IEEE 802.15.4, Bluetooth, various Industrial, Scientific and Medical [ISM] band long range communication modules)Skilled in the creation, management and review of project plans to ensure timely project delivery beneficial.Mechanical design skills beneficial – appreciation of materials and their respective benefits, production options, generation of CAD drawings, third party contractor brief/directionJob Role – Principal Electronics EngineerVacancy Location – South Bedfordshire ( Commutable from Stevenage, Bedford, Milton Keynes, Hemel Hempstead, Luton, Watford, Letchworth, St Albans, etc)
