Principal Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist£50,000 - £60,000NewcastlePermanentWe are looking for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologist to join a civil engineering company based in Newcastle.The company was found over 100 years ago and focus on a variety of civil engineering schemes varying from small infrastructure to major strategic projects and offer a range of civil engineering consultancy.As the Principal Geotechnical Engineer / Engineering Geologists in the Newcastle city centre office, you will hold a key position in the team and help manage the geotechnical workload.What You’ll Be Doing:Lead a growing geotechnical and environmental team of geologists and geotechnical engineers.Carry out Preliminary Risk Assessments investigationsInterpretative report writing and reviewingPrepare Ground Investigation Reports and Geotechnical Design ReportsDeliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy,Provide technically sound and commercially focussed client proposals and reportsWhat You’ll Bring to the TeamRelevant degree qualification such as Geology or Civil EngineeringExperience in considering construction techniques and constraintsStrong technical project management experienceExperience in client facing roles & nurturing strong working relationshipsA knowledge of AutoCAD, ArcGIS, RocScience, Oasys, gINT, PLAXIS or Wallap software is beneficial.Exposure to sectors such as infrastructure, industrial, residential, commercial developments would be good to haveAn understanding of contaminated land legislation is also beneficialA good degree in Earth Sciences, Geology or Civil Engineering is required.Either be chartered or working towards chartered status.For more details, please apply or contact Kirstie Oxlade at Pin Point Recruitment.
