Our client, a leader in the Energy sector, is currently seeking a Principal OHL Draughtsperson to join their team in the United Kingdom. This is open to either of ther office locations UK wide. This permanent position requires an experienced professional with a proven track record in managing teams and delivering high-quality engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the production of high-quality engineering drawings across the team in accordance with company and industry-specific standards
- Maintaining responsibility for team deliverables to the Design Department
- Providing Engineering CAD expertise
- Managing the workflow of the team to meet deadlines
- Producing and managing the team to produce a wide range of CAD drawings using different software
- Undertaking QA/QC checks across a broad range of engineering CAD deliverables and self-checking work prior to approval stage
Job Requirements:
- Experience in Electrical Distribution Systems, SISS Design Engineering, Ops Design Engineering, Transmission, and Electrical Design
- Experience in managing teams and working within an Engineering/Civils environment
- Strong working knowledge of relevant software, including Microstation Connect, SolidEdge, NX or Open Utilities Substation
- Understanding of industry-specific standards and practices, including essential Health and Safety/CDM issues
- Educational qualifications including an A level standard (or equivalent), at least 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C or equivalent) including English and Maths, and an HND/HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering
- A UK Driving Licence (or one acceptable to our insurers)
