The LSE Estates Division is seeking to appoint at Principal Project Manager to lead the delivery of its Long-Term Maintenance and Decarbonisation programmes.  The LSE was founded in 1895 and has grown to become one of the foremost social science universities in the world.  A specialist university with an international intake, LSE's reach extends from its Central London campus to around the world. The School has a cosmopolitan student body, with around 11,000 full-time students from 148 countries and a staff of just over 3,000, with about 46 per cent drawn from countries outside the UK.The LSE Estates Division is responsible for developing and implementing the LSE Estates Strategy supporting the School's strategic objectives.  Improving the student experience lies at the heart of what we do. We are focussed on providing world class buildings and facilities and through excellent customer service we aim to ensure the safe, secure and environmentally sound operation and maintenance of LSE assets.  The Estates Capital Development team has enjoyed unprecedented success in recent years, with acclaimed major projects gaining Stirling award nominations and the Team winning various ‘client of the year’ accolades.The Principal Project Manager lead the strategic planning, briefing, design, procurement and handover of the Long-Term Maintenance and Carbon Reduction programme for LSE Estates, across the LSE Academic, Commercial, Residential, Campus and Sports Grounds portfolio.  We are investing heavily in improving the quality of the condition of our estate and have ambitious plans to deliver a sustainable estate (Sustainable LSE) – the Principal Project Manager will play a leading role in achieving this.We are seeking an individual with a track record of planning and delivering strategic maintenance and decarbonisation projects either in a client-side project/programme leadership role or in a client’s consultant capacity.  The role would suit an individual with excellent technical skills and an understanding of building technology to improve condition and environment performance.
