Are you passionate about ensuring safety in complex systems and programs? Join our dynamic Safety & Environmental team, where you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding the safety of cutting-edge submarines and combat systems.
As a Safety Engineering Manager, you will provide essential advice on safety matters to project and engineering managers, ensuring that all safety considerations are meticulously addressed and implemented throughout our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on safety matters to project and engineering managers, ensuring compliance with safety considerations and regulations.
Collaborate with third parties to review and gather supporting evidence for safety cases.
Develop and maintain robust safety arguments, including physical and functional safety analyses, and produce comprehensive safety case documentation.
Line manage and mentor other safety practitioners, fostering a culture of safety excellence.
Essential Skills and Experience:
In-depth knowledge of safety engineering processes, practices, and tools.
Strong grasp of safety engineering and assurance principles.
Experience and qualifications in engineering disciplines, with a clear understanding of safety engineering principles.
Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
