Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee excellent social work practice while supporting and developing arrangements for exceptional performance.
- Provide operational and motivational leadership, ensuring a good working environment focused on delivering high-quality services.
- Advise senior management on complex cases and evolving legislation affecting social work practice.
- Collaborate with external partners, educational institutions, and professional networks to ensure best practices in adult social care.
- Monitor social work performance, promote continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Champion evidence-based practices and facilitate professional development for social workers.
Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide guidance and support effectively.
- Proven leadership experience in social work, with a strategic focus on service improvement and quality assurance.
- Ability to work outside of normal office hours as needed.
- Knowledge of local government legislation, including politically restricted roles.
