Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee excellent social work practice while supporting and developing arrangements for exceptional performance.

  • Provide operational and motivational leadership, ensuring a good working environment focused on delivering high-quality services.
  • \n
  • Advise senior management on complex cases and evolving legislation affecting social work practice.
  • \n
  • Collaborate with external partners, educational institutions, and professional networks to ensure best practices in adult social care.
  • \n
  • Monitor social work performance, promote continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • \n
  • Champion evidence-based practices and facilitate professional development for social workers.
  • \n

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check required.
  • \n
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide guidance and support effectively.
  • \n
  • Proven leadership experience in social work, with a strategic focus on service improvement and quality assurance.
  • \n
  • Ability to work outside of normal office hours as needed.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of local government legislation, including politically restricted roles.
