Principal Software Engineer

Role: Principal Software Engineer
Location: Luton (4 days on site, non negotiable)
Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 DOE
Clearance: British Citizens Only - eligibility for full security clearance required

I have an exciting opportunity with a global consultancy renowned for its expertise in defence, aerospace, aviation, and automotive sectors. You will have the chance to work on next-generation technology and cutting-edge aerospace and radar projects that drive innovation and impact in these critical fields.

Responsibilities:

Develop embedded software with RTOS (VxWorks, embedded Linux)
Deploy software on multi-core/distributed platforms
Collaborate with firmware and hardware teams
Use C++ and scripting languages
Follow RTCA 178C and MISRA C/C++ standardsRequirements:

Full software lifecycle experience (Requirements, Design, Test)
Proficiency in C++, UML, and OOD
Agile methodologies (Scrum, Jira, Gitlab)
Experience with RTCA 178C or similarDesirables:
