Principal Test Engineer

My client is a top-tier semiconductor company based in Cambridge. They specialize in the development and integration of advanced sensor technology and have achieved notable early success, supported by substantial investment.Recent commercial success means they're looking to continue to scale production and they're looking for a Principle Test EngineerResponsibilities:Develop and introduce new products by understanding Flusso sensor devices, capturing test requirements, and developing specifications, methods, and automated test setups.Execute and analyze test plans in collaboration with the data team, investigating performance anomalies through hands-on investigations.Enhance test engineering capabilities by contributing to test lab infrastructure design and supervising and mentoring junior engineers.Monitor and optimize production tests by liaising with test houses, reviewing production data, and investigating and optimizing test costs and coverage.Requirements:Proficiency in test engineering, including knowledge of test and measurement theory, and developing test software and database functions using git.Experience in integrating test solutions with mechanical and electronic parts and using standard electronics test equipment.Working within ISO9001:2015 quality systems, following lab protocols, and adhering to safety regulations.Advantageous skills include experience with high-volume, low-cost production, and proficiency in Python, LabVIEW, and 3D CAD (SolidWorks).The basic salary for this role is looking to be between £60,000 and £85,000 depending on experience.
