Join us as a Product & Proposition Privacy Manager

  • We’re looking for a Privacy Manager to support the delivery of data protection and privacy requirements for Commercial Banking
  • You’ll be managing relationships with stakeholders across the function to support the understanding of privacy and Data protection for the fair treatment of our customers
  • We’re offering this role for a period of 12 months

What you'll do

In this key role, you’ll be supporting the delivery of data protection and privacy requirements for Commercial Banking, with a focus on card acquiring and open banking payments under the Tyl by NatWest and Payit brands We’ll look to you to ensure awareness of breaches and you’ll be designing a strategy to make sure activity is consistent with customer fairness outcomes while supporting the conduct risk agenda.

Throughout the course of your work, you’ll be working alongside colleagues in the Privacy team.

You’ll also be:

  • Driving data protection and privacy requirements making sure they are interpreted, implemented, and associated risks are minimised across Commercial Banking
  • Developing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures in accordance with regulations
  • Ensuring all business processes and data exchanges adhere to policies and procedures
  • Liaising with external bodies in consultation with compliance on the accreditation and compliance of customer communications

The skills you'll need

To be successful in this role you’ll need to have experience of the banking industry, regulatory and commercial environment.  You’ll need knowledge of relevant legal policies and regulations such as PECR, GDPR and DPA, alongside risk management with experience in applying this knowledge as part of change programmes within banking, fintech, information technology or a payments environment.

You’ll also need:

  • Evidence of strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior management
  • Strategic thinking skills and the ability to simplify complex and conflicting tasks and policy positions, ensuring that these are effectively managed and communicated
