Our client's deal strategy team collaborates with C-level executives to identify, structure, and solve their most critical strategic issues across economic and transaction cycles. As part of a fast-paced and dynamic group, consultants offer strategic advice on financial, business, and operating models to corporate, public sector, and private equity clients. The team are investing further in senior roles with a focus on the deals market, seeking individuals to lead and deliver Commercial and Operational due diligence assignments. They work with private equity houses and C-level executives to assist in achieving their M&A ambitions and growth strategies, often collaborating with various parts of the organisation. The Role As a Director, you will be accountable for sales and delivery of a range of projects across multiple sectors, supported by Partners. You will work with Partners to lead opportunity development and conversion, and design and deliver engagements to meet client needs. Key Responsibilities: Lead in developing our Commercial and Operational due diligence capabilities. Proactively develop thought leadership. Design and lead practice development initiatives. Continuously develop your own knowledge and expertise. Build and maintain a strong external and internal network. Motivate, mentor, and develop project team members and appraisees. The Person: Outstanding interpersonal skills to inspire teams and develop exceptional client relationships. Extensive experience in selling and delivering high-impact Commercial and/or Operational due diligence projects across various sectors including industrial products, manufacturing, defence, and transport/logistics. Demonstrable network of senior client contacts and deep understanding of the Commercial and/or Operational process, deal strategy, structure, and stakeholder dynamics. Strong problem-solving skills, numerical capabilities, commercial acumen, and ability to deliver actionable recommendations. Excellent written English and oral communication skills; additional language skills are a bonus. Likely experience in a strategy house, a top-tier professional services firm, or a central strategy/corporate development team, leading complex projects with multi-disciplinary teams. Proven track record in high-value business development activities and developing and mentoring team members. Strong values that consistently guide business interactions and team leadership.
