Probation Officer Report Writer - Portsmouth

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Probation Officer based in Portsmouth, on a temporary ongoing contract. Post holders will undertake the full range of offender management tasks with offenders under supervision including assessment, sentence implementation and producing�reports; utilising service procedures and practice directions to underpin professional judgement.

Job Summary:

Contract:�12 months

Work hours:�Full time

Salary:��20.30 PAYE - � 26.45 Umbrella

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Report writing and all associated tasks including OASY and RSR


• Coaching PSR quality


• Using computer based systems to produce, update and maintain records and other documentation within agreed timescales


• Writing Pre-Sentence Reports


• Preparation of reports for court


• Updating offender records on the electronic system


• Managing and enforcing community orders and monitoring attendance


• Completing breach reports

Person Specification

• You will need to have prior experience as an offender manager to be considered for these vacancies


• You will need to possess good IT skills and be able to ensure work is completed accurately within the timescales required


• You will be able to communicate effectively with others including Court staff

A current Enhanced DBS check is required for this role, which we can process for you.�
