PROCESS ENGINEER – CHEMICAL ENGINEERING:COUNTY DURHAMc£60kMajor Talent are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a global chemical engineering business that is going through an exciting period of growth.This is a this newly created position will grant you the autonomy to identify and introduce changes to benefit the business and have a hand in shaping the future.THE ROLE:As a Process Engineer your duties will include:Process Engineering Leadership: Oversee the process engineering function supporting plant operations and products. This encompasses Front End Engineering Design and Process Engineering Design studies.Documentation and Support: Prepare relevant process engineering documents for FEED studies, such as Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, commissioning procedures, equipment specifications, data sheets, and calculations, ensuring timely project execution.EHS Compliance: Adhere to all Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements, policies, and principles.Project Planning and Management: Manage the installation and commissioning of new or modified plants, ensuring cost, time and quality targets are met.Capital Projects: Lead the conceptual phase of capital projects, developing strategies to expand and provide capacity to suit business requirements.Safety and Risk Management: Assist in HAZOPs, LOPAs, design reviews and risk assessments. Implement recommendations, following best practices.Continuous Improvement: Lead CI activities, supporting manufacturing troubleshooting and optimising processes.THE CANDIDATE:The ideal Process Engineer:Degree in Chemical EngineeringChartered Chemical Engineer/IChemE (desirable, but not essential)Previously worked in a COMAH siteA dynamic personality with an entrepreneurial spirit to identify improvement opportunitiesWorking knowledge of DSEAR, CDM, COMAHSkilled in Project ManagementThe ability to work autonomouslyAbility to communicate and engage with people across all levelsStrong problem solving skillsCOMMUTABLE FROM:Hartlepool, Middlesborough Stockton-on-TeesBENEFITS:£50k – £60k2.5% BonusContributory PensionEmployee Assistance ProgrammeBUPA (including family cover)Life Assurance x 4Internal progressionTo be a part of a truly global company25 Days Annual Leave & Statutory HolidaysHOW TO APPLY:To be considered for this role, please click on the link provided.
