The OpportunityAs a Senior Process Safety Engineer, you will work across the entire project lifecycle, including concept, FEED and detailed design, and guide process safety engineering teams to ensure production of deliverables to timelines and within budget. As a more senior member of the team, you will co-ordinate the work of others and liaise with specialists from other disciplines, sharing your knowledge and experiences. You will be working in highly regulated sectors, including nuclear and water, working within a gated design and project delivery process.You will operate in a client facing environment and will be involved in the production of calculations, report writing, the development of impactful presentations and facilitation of workshops as a process safety specialist. You will also be involved with the development of fee proposals, developing accurate cost estimates and delivery schedules.At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. The successful candidate is likely to have practical experience of the following:Management of hazard studies, including HAZID and HAZOP, in addition to FMEA and other safety reviewsConsequence modelling using standard software packages (PHAST, Flaresim etc)Development of safety system specifications & Layers of Protection studyTechnical comprehension of IEC61508 / 61511Functional safety and implementation of Safety Instrumented SystemsCOMAH & DSEAR regulationsNot ready to apply just yet, or have a few questions?
