Main duties will be to generate and record purchase orders using the ERP systems, creating new suppliers, and maintaining records for certification and compliance. The role includes a lot of information and data gathering and analysing in MS Excel relating to category spend, cost savings and other weekly/monthly and ad hoc reports, as well as supporting the quotations process for new contracts.
Analyse and compare quotation information
Raise purchase orders through the system, ensuring all detailsare correct and categorised accordingly
Entering receipts into the system, to ensure invoices can be accurately matched
Collating and analysing purchasing spend data through the use of ERP dashboards & MS Excel,carrying out analysis to provide a breakdown by supplier and product category
Producing & interpreting monthly commercial statistics and graphs using MS Excel
Monitoring & reporting on Key Supplier service levels in line with the agreed SLAs
Assist in the collation of weekly savings sheets and be responsible for recording realised savings & updating monthly tracker reports
To be successful in your application you will need to be able to demonstrate:
Substantial MS Excel experience, including report building and analysis using Pivot Tables, VLookUps and graphs
Ability to interpret reports and numerical data
Working to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Experience in the manufacturing/engineering sector is an advantage although not essential.
Experience in a purchasing department or exposure to a purchasing department is preferred
