A client of ours in the Halstead area are recruiting a Procurement Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm and paying �27,000 - �30,000 per annum depending on experience.
Supporting a team of 3, key duties include but are not limited to:
- Purchase of consumables and tooling.
- Maintain database on prices and lead times.
- Securing orders with suppliers.
- General department administration.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders providing updates.
- Manage and improve non-conformances.
- Consulting with Design team and QA team to assist in value engineering.
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Procurement Assistant position:
- Strong negotiator with excellent telephone skills
- Experience within purchasing and procurement within the engineering or manufacturing industry.
- Proficient within the Microsoft packages (Publisher, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability/understanding to read CAD drawings
- Highly organised
