My well established Berkshire / Surrey border based Client is urgently recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager with a strong background in the utilities or energy sector to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, contract management, and supplier negotiations. You will play a pivotal role in optimising the procurement process to support business objectives and achieve maximum value.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end procurement activities across various categories, focusing on utilities and energy-related services.

Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and cost-saving initiatives.

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality service, and contract compliance.

Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and regulatory developments within the energy/utilities sector.

Manage supplier relationships, including conducting regular performance reviews and maintaining strong partnerships.

Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, company policies, and sustainability goals.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and develop tailored solutions to meet business requirements.

Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and strategies to enhance efficiency and value.

Skills and Experience:

Proven experience as a Procurement Manager within the utilities or energy industry.

Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build long-term, value-driven supplier relationships.

Excellent knowledge of procurement best practices, sourcing techniques, and contract management.

Familiarity with industry regulations, sustainability initiatives, and cost control strategies.

Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and market trends.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience in managing large-scale procurement projects and budgets.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.

Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS) are highly desirable.

This role is hybrid, 2 days on site, 3 days from home.
