Job Description

As a Procurement Category Manager, you'll lead delivery of sourcing category projects and aligned supplier management activities. You'll create strong collaborative partnerships with senior customers to influence business priorities and understand future trends and requirements. You'll lead on all activities in line with all relevant Group policies and within Group risk appetite.

This is multi-location so you can be based EITHER Leeds, Edinburgh, Bristol. 2 days a week in the office.

What you'll do

    Operating as a member of the Customer Sourcing category sourcing team for Insurance, Pensions & Investments and Motor, alongside a team of expert sourcing professionals, contributing to the ongoing development of the category vision and purpose, supporting the continued advancement of the function

    Supporting our Insurance, Pensions & Investments colleagues with their commercial needs through the delivery of great sourcing strategies to meet their business goals

  • \n
  • \n

    Developing and nurturing critical relationships with key partners, driving commercial thinking by challenging what we have always done to deliver greater commercial value for the organisation

  • \n
  • \n

    Maintaining an effective and up to date understanding of the fund management services category, looking after critical supplier relationships to seek early access to new and innovative product developments, allowing you to build and deliver to support the Group's transformation

What you'll need

    \n
  • \n

    Sourcing expertise, with a specific knowledge and experience of negotiating contracts and procurement category management ideally for consumer products but not essential.

  • \n

    Experience in developing and managing sourcing projects within dynamic environments

    \n
  • \n
  • \n

    Ability to articulate, influence and translate strategic objectives from business clients into effective sourcing strategies, approaches and delivery

    \n
  • \n
  • \n

    Success in development of relationships with key internal colleagues and evidence of working as a trusted and valued business partner

    \n
  • \n
  • \n
