*Procurement Manager - Transport**Cullompton*At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking a *Procurement Manager – Transport *at our Cullompton site.*The position of Procurement Manager:** You will be responsible for the full procurement lifecycle for fleet, fuels, tyres, parts, MHE and company cars (total spend £120m per year).* Being the expert for the respective category spend areas, developing category strategies and an opportunity pipeline to deliver bottom line business benefit.* Leading on all strategic sourcing activity for fleet, fuels, tyres, parts, MHE and company cars, to mitigate risk and implement solutions to deliver competitive advantage.* Support the fleet team with the group’s decarbonisation journey, by delivering on our net zero ambitions (net zero by 2038) through the use of alternative fuels such as HVO, Gas (LNG / CNG), Battery Electric Vehicles and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles.* Being the expert in market developments such as product enhancements, refuelling infrastructure and other solutions which could be implemented to improve operational efficiency.* Embedding the Supplier Relationship Management framework (monthly, quarterly and annual review meetings) with key strategic suppliers.* Supporting Finance Business Partners with the preparation of budgets and maintenance of the cost file used to support tender responses.* Monitor whole life costs of assets and ensure the lowest total cost of ownership.* Deputising for the Head of Procurement at key internal and external meetings when required.*Essential skills required for Procurement Manager:** Proven, demonstrable experience in a similar senior procurement role,* In depth knowledge of the responsible spend areas.* Experience of fleet procurement and supplier management.* An effective leader and influencer.
