Procurement Manager

My West Bromwich based client are looking for a Purchasing / Procurement Manager to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.

Duties will include:-

• Material buying


• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet cost savings targets


• Managing a team of buyers / senior buyers and overseeing the procurement team's daily activities


• Attending pre-start meetings, commercial meetings and offer commercial advice to the teams as and when needed.


• Building client relationships


• Applying rebates strategies

Key Skills:-

• Essential you have a background in construction


• Must have worked as Procurement Manager previously or a Senior Buyer looking for the next step up.


• Experience in material buying for a variety of projects


• Management experience - ability to manage a team of buyers / senior buyers


• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting supplier relationships


• Excellent organisational and analytical abilities
