My West Bromwich based client are looking for a Purchasing / Procurement Manager to join their team on a full time and permanent basis.
Duties will include:-
- Material buying
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet cost savings targets
- Managing a team of buyers / senior buyers and overseeing the procurement team's daily activities
- Attending pre-start meetings, commercial meetings and offer commercial advice to the teams as and when needed.
- Building client relationships
- Applying rebates strategies
Key Skills:-
- Essential you have a background in construction
- Must have worked as Procurement Manager previously or a Senior Buyer looking for the next step up.
- Experience in material buying for a variety of projects
- Management experience - ability to manage a team of buyers / senior buyers
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build lasting supplier relationships
- Excellent organisational and analytical abilities
