Are you ready to make a difference in the public sector? Our client, a prominent organisation within Central Government, is seeking a dynamic Procurement Officer to join their Procurement team in Manchester!

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage tenders for external contractors and provide expert advice on complex procurement activities.
• Lead contract negotiations and supplier management, ensuring compliance with UK legislation.
• Delegate and cover for the Associate Director of Procurement when required.
• Develop and implement policies for quality assurance and governance over IT expenditure.

Key Skills Needed:

• Strong understanding of procurement methods and business analysis techniques.
• Proven experience in public sector purchasing and contract negotiation.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage projects and lead teams effectively.
