Procurement Specialist - IT

Job Title: IT Procurement Specialist

Location: East Midlands

Contract: Permanent

Package: c.�55,000 plus Car, and excellent benefits including bonus and Pension

Grafton Recruitment are working with a well-recognised highly successful corporate organisation to recruit an experienced procurement professional with knowledge of managing IT products and services spend. This role will take the procurement lead for IT based projects, and corporate hardware and software spend, working with the technology team stakeholders to manage the commercial aspects of projects.

This role offers a great opportunity to lead IT procurement for a fast paced, well-respected company, joining a large and sophisticated procurement team with great opportunity for career development and progression. You will have responsibility for developing and implementing procurement strategy for this area of spend.

Responsibilities;

• Supplier Sourcing - identification and evaluation of suppliers
• Tendering, negotiating and implementing contracts and agreements
• Managing and advising stakeholders through the procurement process
• Managing supplier relationships, setting supplier strategy and evaluating supplier performance
• Project procurement and category management approach

Requirements:

• Experience of leading and managing end to end procurement process, tendering and supplier negotiation
• Experience of IT products and services commodities
• Proven negotiation skills and contract knowledge
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, managing cross function projects
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Ambitious, motivated, and able to work on own initiative
