Our client is a dynamic and industry leading business who are now looking for an enthusiastic procurement leader to join their friendly team.
This is a great opportunity for a driven individual who enjoys building relationships with both clients and suppliers whilst also helping to develop their small team.
Duties will include;-

  • Deliver and execute defined purchasing operations in line with the purchasing strategies and guidelines.
  • Manage a team to release timely purchase orders, registration of order acknowledgements, expediting, clarification of invoice differences in SAP.
  • Ensure the integrity and maintenance of SAP data.
  • Establish and maintain relationships and point of escalation with suppliers and key stakeholders to achieve a high standard of delivery performance, settling any questionable deliveries, with the appropriate internal department.
  • High focus on group KPI delivery including cost reduction, inventory and turn rate, delivers updates and actions to Head of Purchasing in achieving agreed forecast goals.
  • Interact with Buyers and Head of Purchasing/ Stakeholders in announcing increases/ decreases/ scheduling alignments or changes to the production requirements and assesses impact to supplier manufacturing.
  • Monitor the quality, quantity and other agreed contract conditions for the goods provided.


Candidate Specification;-

  • HNC/HND in Engineering or a professional qualification like CIPS Level 4.
  • Minimum of 5 years buying experience and 2 years people management.
  • Knowledge of SAP or MRP.
  • Previous experience within an Engineering or Manufacturing environment.
  • Track record of implementing change and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to travel.
  • Support and develop team members.
