We're looking for a Product Design Engineer to join a thriving Salisbury-based manufacturer, designing innovative products for their customers. You'll be part of a fast-paced team where product development drives success.

Responsibilities of the Product Design Engineer:

• Collaborate with the design team on product creation, packaging and preparing for production.


• Streamline and refine existing product ranges by updating designs and technical documents.


• Tailor designs to meet specific customer requests by modifying standard products.


• Create 3D models, 2D drawings and Bill of Materials, ensuring accurate product data management.


• Oversee the prototyping process, from machining and assembly to testing and improvement.


• Design test procedures, evaluate results, and provide solutions to enhance product performance.


• Communicate updates and new product details to production teams to ensure seamless transitions.

Requirements of the Product Design Engineer:

• Degree in Product Design or Mechanical Engineering.


• 2+ years experience in design engineering.


• Proficient in Solid Edge or SolidWorks (2D and 3D).


• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).


• Excellent communication and creativity.


• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.


• Solid understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.


• Well-organized with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
